 Many reasons we are not attracted by culture, yet we do because they give us a feeling of history

 Concept of re-framing ie taking something that one has an attitude towards and changing one’s attitude

Questions to think about, and my answers

Q1: If people have a basic definition of traditional culture, how can you make them accept your innovative design?

A1: Control the scope of innovative design. Innovative design without breaking the image of traditional culture. In addition, the combination of traditional culture and modern culture should be loved by everyone. While learning traditional culture, we also accept the latest trend.

Q2: Can people staying traditional without feeling pressure?

A2: Yes, I know nowadays many adult already realize that traditional culture is fading, so they always force their child to read lots of book of traditional culture. Actually, this made a really negative thinking in the children’s mind which made them want to escape from learning them. However, the good way to solve that problem is to combine them which the ‘modern culture that they interested in.

Q3: Can you make a real Sanxingdui mask? (it could be fun)

A3: I have thought about making the mask, however, I didn't want to make it like product design. And I think it will not be a creation design. What I’m think is to design a new mask image that remain Sanxingdui bronzes’ s characteristic and use card board to make a big board mask.

Q4: Sanxingdui can have messages in or on them

A4: Yes! It’s not only just have messages on them, also having message in them, people might be very curious of way the bronzes looks so strange and no one know what they’re design for. Actually there’re lots of myths around it which fascinated me do lots of research on it.

Q5: The trend is always changing. Maybe you are an innovative design now, but it will soon become the past. Is there anything that can be changed?

1) Culture always change but this made more people trying as well

2) Art will never be overdo

3) Try redesign a new series every year

4) Do a research of what kinds of art is the most popular

5) Put the design onto different products
