INTRODUCTION TO SANGXINGDUI CULTURE

As one of the nine wonders of the world, Sanxingdui is the largest, earliest and most representative cultural heritage in Sichuan. However, Sanxingdui civilization does not exist in isolation. It is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, and it also interacts with the cultures of various regions of Chinese civilization. A large number of bronzes have been unearthed in Sanxingdui, Guanghan Sichuan Province. The large number of bronzes and the peculiar shapes show the unique characteristics of Bashu culture and represent another kind of bronze art in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. (www.Chinatraditional.com, 2020)
The artifacts unearthed in Sanxingdui have unique aesthetic style both in shape and decoration. These exquisite and mysterious bronzes show a strange world of ancient Shu for later generations.
